Ok, I found this, and it is hilarious. Check it out, it's short, but it reminds me of hypothetical conversations about this and other silly things, in my family. We like to go overboard with nonsense what-ifs....anywho. Have 24/7 tonight, if my leader doesn't go into labor. Gonna try and pass off Discovery 7 of my last T&T book, and I am hoping I have enough time to pass of 3 Bible Readings: Haggai, Judges, and Obadiah. And I get another night of Prison Ball. Best game ever invented. Ok, it's tied with Football. ;D

I have a minute....

Ok, So I have a minute, and I wanted to type about my most current events. Anyone heard of AWANA Youth Ministries? *CRICKETS* Check them out, definitely. So I have been involved off and on with AWANA since I was in 3rd Grade. I say off and on because I did my 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade years, but skipped 6th grade because I went to a private school and thought I would be too busy. I now wish I had found and attended the church I am about to graduate from that year, but I didn't until 7th grade. I think it would have been an encouragement to me, because 6th grade was tough. Trust me, even private schools have bad peer pressure, and I am thankful my parents pulled me out when they did, even though at the time I was rebellious and wanted to stay in. I have never been in such an atmosphere of good peer pressure as at this church program. We all are Christians, but we have different convictions in our families. Despite this we don't pressure each other to not keep our convictions. In fact, we encourage each other to keep our convictions even if they aren't our own....Ok, that wasn't the reason I wanted to blog....So as I was saying, I am involved in a wonderful church for this program, now in my last year of 24/7 Journey, the High School program. I knew almost nothing about this church when I started attending, and wasn't aware that they were very competitive in the yearly Quiz and Games. Needless to say, I don't remember anything about 7th grade, except that the games team I was on won 3rd, while our other games team won 1st. This church has a long history of excellence in Q&G. I am proud that I have been able to help keep that record of excellence. Along with my team of course! I could never do it without them. Since I joined the High School program, we have won 2nd in games every year we have been able to attend (which was only 3, instead of 4, but you have to have a minimum of 5 girls and boys, and we didn't enough girls last year. Actually we didn't have enough girls this year, but we were able to find another church to pair up with for State, and we did very well for not having practiced together but one event on the day of the games.) and I have been on a 2nd place quiz team (with 3 others), a 1st place quiz team (with the same team as the year before, minus the senior that graduated) and just this past State wide event, yet another 1st place quiz team (this time me the senior, with 2 younger, who happened to be siblings.) I would have to say this program has been the highlight of my high school career. I strongly encourage any high school (and Jr. High, not to mention younger, for they start in at age 3, I believe, at some churches, though many only offer the K-12 program) to look into and find a church in your area who does AWANA. You have fun, you learn scripture, you make friends, you study God's Word, and you are able to compete in an uplifting environment, even going up to Nationals if your church has enough interest and funds. I have never had the privilege to go to Nationals (known as SUMMIT) but I know people who have, and they say it was lots of fun, and competitive at the same time. The Quiz is grueling mentally, you are stretched to your limit, but the rush of answering the questions, working with your teammates, encouraging when they get a question wrong, them encouraging you in a similar situation. The pats on the back and hugs from your coaches, other teammates, parents, and even strangers from other churches, no matter what place you get. It is all worth it. All the studying, the pressure, even the caffeine withdrawal (which I: 1) shouldn't have to deal with at my age, don't get addicted to caffeine. 2)Which I AMAZINGLY didn't have, even though I didn't have ANY until 5-6 PM, at our celebration dinner, and I had woken up at 5:30. All I can figure is adrenaline rush...ALL DAY. Miracle I tell you.)  Then there is games. I am not athletic. Anyone could look at me and tell you that. I have just now started to seriously do some physical training, like running and such. In games, you run in circles, you throw stuff at each other, you pull each other around with ropes, you grab stuff (ok, I am making this sound kinda rough, it's a little more organized then what it sounds like.) You do run in a circle, up to 8 times in a single race (that's the most, and you only have to do it once (THANK GOD) It's called the Marathon, and I've done it once. I almost died. As it was I felt sick for the rest of the afternoon. My coach kept asking me if I was going to throw up yet.....fortunately I never did..) My personal favorite is the Basketball Relay, which means you have one person in the middle of the circle, with 4 other people on the outside of the circle (which is about 10-15 feet across) and you have to do chest and then bounce passes to each person, before running 'in' to hit the center pin (which are bowling pins basically, each color coated 1 of 4 different colors: Red, Blue, Green or Yellow. In High School, they only do 3 teams per circle though) You do a girl round, a guy round, and then a team round, which has a guy in the center, with girl, guy, girl, guy, girl, guy, girl, guy, girl, on the outside of the circle. That's my favorite part, because we do the SCOOCH, which means after we do our chest pass, we all turn sideways and scoot as close to each other as possible, and then on the way back, we 'unfold' as it is called, and do our bounce pass. Unfortunately, they don't allow the scooch anymore, and when we did it on our first team (and we did it SOOOO beautifully) they disqualified us from that game. :'( Well I won't go into every even on this post, cuz I have to go do other stuff now, but I think I will do more explanations later. I just want to close out with the Citation Achievement. This is based on the handbooks you do every year from 3rd-12th grade. If you complete the 10 books for those years, you are a Citation Achiever. Something they do at the State Wide, and at SUMMIT, is have a Citation Achievers Award Ceremony, which means the Seniors who have finished, or are about to finish that year, 10 AWANA books, are going to receive their Citation Award that year. So the Missionaries in charge of AWANA Youth Ministries (LET"S HAVE SOME APPLAUSE PEOPLE, they are a dedicated group of people, who love the kids, the program, and Christ with all their hearts, and I found out why churches have to register the kids, so the missionaries can personally pray for you throughout your AWANA years.) decided they wanted to show everyone at the events what these talented young men and woman have done. For that reason, they have the Citation Achievers Award Ceremony. You get to go up on stage, have pictures (which you sent in) put up on a screen, shake the hands of all the Missionaries, have your picture taken holding a Citation Award with the Head Missionary (I THINK), and then walk off the stage to go back to your seat. I must say, because I missed my 6th grade year, and some other complications, I thought I would never achieve the Citation Award. But through God's grace, and the encouragement of my leaders and fellow students I am going to make it. (Told you it was good peer pressure, by encouragement, I mean they are telling me that I can memorize those last 50 verses. That they know I can do it. They have seen me do similar things for quiz. And they are doing the same thing with me. I think almost every single senior in my church is doing catch up work, and we are all rooting for each other. We walked up on stage and told everybody we were going to do it, so we ARE going to do it, and we will go up on stage together at the end of the year and be able to say "WE DID IT TOGETHER!!". I don't want to go up on stage by myself for that award. I want the rest of my year up there with me. They are my friends whom I have come to know, and, as a sister in Christ, love. We are the family of our 24/7 group, and if one of us doesn't accomplish his task, the others of us mourn it with him.)

Ok, I really went overboard on that, but I have so much I want to share about AWANA. I love this program, and I would actually love to be involved as a leader. I would love to do it at the church I attended, but because we are moving, and we aren't church members there, I can't. But here's a twist. I am considering going over to Japan one day, because I love the language, and I really want to see the country and the people. Plus I really feel drawn to them after seeing the results of the earthquake last year. There are AWANA programs over in Japan. I would love to go over to Japan, and as my ministry while I am still single I would love to be involved in the program over there. (because when I marry, my ministry will be my husband and children, being hospitable with my home, and creating an uplifting, learning, God-centered environment. I may sound like I have this all figured out, but I don't. Actually I am wrestling with my next step right now. I am confused, and asking God to daily show me his plan for the next year, month, week, day and hour.)

A quick check in....

Well, I wonder how many times I'm allowed to say "Life is busy...."...prolly as many as I want since it's my blog..but I hate lame and repetitive excuses that get us nowhere.....so I'll just get on to business.

So I am enrolled in my local community college taking courses while still in my senior year of high school to finish out, and get some college credit at the same time...Taking College Algebra and Spanish 1. I am ditching math after this semester, I have enough to graduate, and I found that I really love languages, even though spanish wasn't my first choice, my mom said that I should take it since it is so common here in Texas.....so next semester I am taking Spanish 2 and Japanese 1...yeah Japanese....I have had this growing interest in Japan and Japanese since the earthquake(s), and I've always had this small curiosity about the country we dropped the first A-Bombs on....I would really like one day to go to Japan and see the country side, I hear its really pretty, and there are natural hot springs.....sounds very enticing.....I actually discovered that Japan kept its doors closed to all foreign countries except some Dutch traders, from around 1550 to 1850. They actually came out to meet the huge American warship (that was there in peace) in their little fishing boats....after that they sent out their students to learn as much about the modern world as possible, and bring it back to their "Land of the Rising Sun". They rose in this new found power and wealth quickly. Anywho, enough on history right now (though I am a bit of a history nut, just don't know a whole lot, I like to find out every single detail on those things I do know.....) but let's move on....So my dad was awarded a new job position up in the Ft. Worth area, so we will be moving, though possibly not until the end of next semester, meaning can finish the classes I've registered in before transferring to the FW area.....we are hoping to find some property with a house on it that we can all fit in...for the right price of course, price is always everything...well besides 'Location, Location, Location...' ...;)

Anywho, that's about it right now, my life currently consists of trying to stay on top of my school work.....and remembering to feed the animals so they don't die...and now it's starting to cool down outside, and in a few weeks, my grandparents will be here for Thanksgiving, with Christmas the Saturday following Thanksgiving....we get it all over with at the same time since they are down here...;) they usually bring more presents if they know we are going to have Christmas....they gave us a Wii last year.....plus we get too put the Chrsitmas tree up early.....instead of the week before Dec. 25th.... oh yeah, and i get to make extra pies for Thanksgiving AND Christmas Dinner.....gotta love the pies....;}...well I'll type more later..

Summer vacation:1

Well, I am in PA in my gparents living room.

We are packing up to head off to PHC for two weeks where are going to study Constitutional Law. I'll let you know how long till they kick me out ;} Jk of course *CROSSESFINGERS*

here in little Sunbury Northumberland area we have had three days of rain since we arrived on Wednesday.........for those of you in Texas, rain is little drops of water falling from the sky......the plants luv it, and you can actually grow stuff with it, even in the summer....;)

So there is a small update.......and Tuesday is a special day..any guesses??????????????????????????????????????? Anywho, I'll be going now!

MAY 22ND!!!!!!!!! CELTIC WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I am going to do a video crammed post....cuz the best way to do Celtic Woman is by hearing and seeing.....to start off, here is the PBS trailer for the concert I went to....OF COURSE I didn't get to go to the one in Ireland.....unfortunetly....but I did get to see this concert....well most of it...but I will get to that later.....;}

The downside was that Lynn and Alex have left the group, and there is now a new Lisa......but oh well....then they left out two songs (that I knew of) You'll Be in my Heart....*STIFFLESSOBS*

Gettin' in Gear for the Summer!!!!

Well, I am still here......sorta..Summer is about to go into full swing mode, as evidenced by the several graduations (of friends I was supposed to be graduating with.....but oh well....I'll do that NEXT year) I have been attending,  and I am once again traveling. My brothers and I (the two 'older' brothers....the ones that are younger than me, but older than the 'tots'...who happen to be growing up...can't really call them 'tots' anymore......*SIGHS*) are heading up to Virginia to Patrick Henry College for a Constitutional Law summer camp they have.....for two weeks....then two more weeks with our Grandparents in Pennsylvania, then on home again.....I really can't wait!!!! we are heading out next week, Wed I believe.....this won't be the first time I have spent a month away from home, and I will be with Family the whole time, but I am still a little nervous, I will be in new territory, (last time I went, I knew the place I was going like my own bedroom) and of course my brothers and I won't be in the same dorm.....girls and guys in COMPLETELY different buildings....ok with me.....but still......yup, I will have to make new friends....*BREATH, BREATH, YOUCANDOTHIS!!!!!*.....every one of the camps at PHC has a field trip, and going by the subject we will be studying and the proximety to the certain location, my brothers and I both believe our field trip will be to Washington D.C......I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE SO I AM  REALLLLLLLLLLLLY HOPING IT IS......*FINGERSCROSSED* .......................*CRICKETS*...............I guess that is all for now.....I ran out of ranting material....and nothing tooooooo interesting has happened lately.....OH WAIT....OH YEAH....LIZ IS GOING TO KILL ME IF I DON"T POST ABOUT WHAT I DID ON MAY 22nd....but that is "ALL ON ITS OWN" post material.....so.....WITHOUT FURTHER ADO!!!!!!!!!

Update on bunnies...

There are three little babies...and they seem to be fed, they squirm, and mama has remained calm enough, and is eating plenty...all good signs....I have never done this before, and am excited that my first time is, at least for now, going easy....I worried, since Aslan is pretty nervous.....but I believe she is a good mother..of course, they are newborns, so they are in what I call the 'rat' stage...cuz they are hairless, wrinkled, and blind....aren't real pretty...but looking at their parents helps me know that they will be pretty one day.....I'll post some pictures after they have opened their eyes, and seem to be moving around more..(and maybe grow some hair....;p)...so that will be about 10 days....give or take a day or two......

MARCH 1ST......

I NOW HAVE BABY RABBITS.....Aslan had her babies yesterday or today....I am going to say today....She created a fur nest yesterday(good mothering skills there at least....) and I noticed a jump in her appetite today....I reached into the fur ball today and gently felt a little squirming body.....I left so I wouldn't excite Aslan....mother rabbits are jumpy....pun not intened.....and Aslan is a little extra jumpy from some dog attacks at her last home.....that was the reason the owner was getting rid of his rabbits....cuz he couldn't keep the dogs out.....so anyway.....all I know is that she had babies....so i will post again when I learn more myself..

SPRING, SPRING, SPRING.....

I need to post before I burst into song.....cuz that is what my blog title is, a song title...(See Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.....GOOOD MOVIE.....)

I chose the title only cuz what I am about to post about is sumting you might think about when you think of spring......RABBITS!!!!!!!!

Tonight my mom and I went to pick up some rabbit cages we were getting for some Califonia Whites (good meat rabbit) we are getting soon, and the breeder we picked them up from had Lion Head Rabbits....appearanty(or however you spell that) they are a relativly new breed....I had heard of them....didn't like the name....and the fact that beyond looks they are almost useless.....ok they do give fertilizer.....but so do Cals, with meat and good furs.....well, my mom saw them....AND FELL IN LOVE WITH ONE.....so we ended up buying a breeding pair...we got them like half price, cuz the guy is getting out of the breeding business...and you can fetch a good price for them, cuz they are a special breed....so mom wants to get her money back that way.....we got a toirtase shell greyish blackish pretty boy,named Ragamuffin....the one my mom LOVED....and one that I picked, a red female, who I named Aslan, just cuz she is lion colored, and is a LION HEAD rabbit......and it fits....it almost sounds like a girls name.....if you didn't know about Narnia....;P

Who Was Haym Solomon? History from a $1 Bill-Fascinating!

On the rear of the One Dollar bill, you will see two circles. Together, they comprise the Great Seal of the United States. The First Continental Congress requested that Benjamin Franklin and a group of men come up with a Seal. It took them four years to accomplish this task and another two years to get it approved.

If you look at the left-hand circle, you will see a

Pyramid.

Notice the face is lighted, and the western side is dark. This country was just beginning. We had not begun to explore the west or decided what we could do for Western Civilization. The Pyramid is uncapped, again signifying that we were not even close to being finished. Inside the Capstone you have the all-seeing eye, an ancient symbol for divinity. It was Franklin's belief that one man couldn't do it alone, but a group of men, with the help of God, could do anything.

'IN GOD WE TRUST' is on this currency.

The Latin above the pyramid, ANNUIT COEPTIS, means, 'God has favored our undertaking.' The Latin below the pyramid, NOVUS ORDO SECLORUM, means, 'a new order has begun.' At the base of the pyramid is the Roman numeral for 1776. (MDCCLXXVI)

If you look at the right-hand circle, and check it carefully, you will learn that it is on every National Cemetery in the United States. It is also on the Parade of Flags Walkway at the Bushnell, Florida National Cemetery, and is the centerpiece of most heroes' monuments. Slightly modified, it is the seal of the President of the United States, and it is always visible whenever he speaks, yet very few people know what the symbols mean..

The Bald Eagle was selected as a symbol for victory for two reasons: First, he is not afraid of a storm; he is strong, and he is smart enough to soar above it. Secondly, he wears no material crown. We had just broken from the King of England. Also, notice the shield is unsupported. This country can now stand on its own. At the top of that shield you have a white bar signifying congress, a unifying factor. We were coming together as one nation. In the Eagle's beak you will read, 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' meaning, 'from many - one.'

Above the Eagle, you have the thirteen stars, representing the thirteen original colonies, and any clouds of misunderstanding rolling away. Again, we were coming together as one.

Notice what the Eagle holds in his talons. He holds an olive branch and arrows.This country wants peace, but we will never be afraid to fight to preserve peace.The Eagle always wants to face the olive branch, but in time of war,

his gaze turns toward the arrows.

They say that the number 13 is an unlucky number. This is almost a worldwide belief. You will usually never see a room numbered 13, or any hotels or motels with a 13th floor. But think about this:

13 original colonies,

13 signers of the Declaration of Independence ,

13 stripes on our flag,

13 steps on the Pyramid,

13 letters in 'Annuit Coeptis,'

13 letters in ' E Pluribus Unum,'

13 stars above the Eagle,

13 bars on that shield,

13 leaves on the olive branch,

13 fruits, and if you look closely,

13 arrows.

And finally, if you notice the arrangement of the 13 stars in the right-hand circle you will see that they are arranged as a Star of David. This was ordered by George Washington who, when he asked Haym Solomon, a wealthy Philadelphia Jew, what he would like as a personal reward for his services to the Continental Army, Solomon said he wanted nothing for himself but that he would like something for his people.

The Star of David was the result. Few people know that it was Solomon who saved the Army through his financial contributions but died a pauper. Haym Solomon gave $25 MILLION to the Continental Army, money that was extremely important to our independence from England .

I always ask people, 'Why don't you know this?' Your children don't know this, and their history teachers don't know this. Too many veterans have given up too much to ever let the meaning fade. Many veterans remember coming home to an America that didn't care. Too many veterans never came home at all..

I, for one, plan to share this page with everyone, so that they can learn what is on the back of the UNITED STATES ONE DOLLAR BILL, and what it stands for!

I just got done making Homemade Laundry Soap.....It took about 15 minutes tops.....the time between when i last posted....And that included grating the soap to dissolve.....I had help from my loving bro childofGod247..so now we will be able to save some money on laundry.....it was really easy...1/3 cup Felsnaptha Soap, 1/2 cup Borax, 1/2 cup of Washing Soda(not baking), dissolve soap in 1 qt. water, add B and WS, stir till dissolved, add to 2 qts of water in bucket(at least 1 gallon) then add any scents you want(I went a little seasonal out of the small essential oil collection we have, Orange and Cloves). add the last qt of water to equeal 1 gal....let sit until cool, and gelled.....then put in storage container, we used an old store bought laundry detergant container, and you only need to use about 1/4 a cup (half a lid) or less (I heard somwhere you only need enough soap in the laundry to make a few bubbles on top of the water with the clothes in there....not tons of suds like in the movies...the best way is to do a load and see how many bubbles are on top, and adjust from there, I make sure there is a ring around the outside....thats it.....my clothes are plenty clean....so it works...)
